In 2000, my husband and I moved from Brooklyn to Montclair. All these years later, I’ve never looked back! I still love Brooklyn and NYC in general and we still spend a lot of time there – but, at the end of the day, I live in an inviting, inclusive, interesting community with tree-lined streets, back yards, friendly neighbors and beautiful homes with stories to tell. And I couldn’t be happier!
Having made the move from “the City,” I can truly understand the hesitations many people feel contemplating the same move. Here’s what I can tell you. It’s good! The restaurants are excellent and abundant, the arts are vibrant and varied, and the people are friendly and interesting. And Manhattan is closer from most of these towns than it is from parts of Brooklyn.
My roots in Brooklyn run deep. I attended Brooklyn College and received my law degree from Brooklyn Law School – much of my family is still in Brooklyn. At the time of our move, I was a litigation associate at a large Manhattan law firm, practicing medical malpractice defense. Incredibly, my commute from here was better than it had been from Brooklyn – shorter and much more comfortable! In 2008, I shifted careers to Real Estate, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I am also the proud mom of two amazing children who are happily making their way through the Montclair public schools. In 2017, I and four partners opened West of Hudson Real Estate, an independent, hyper-locally focused company driven by our absolute commitment to making our clients and their stories our sole priority. Happily, it’s been a great success from inception and we could not be prouder.
As a Realtor, I take my job very seriously. I promise to guide you carefully with professionalism, knowledge and integrity and to stay in close communication, listening carefully to your concerns and dreams. Together, we will make your dreams reality. |
